Juice Bar—Short Pump, 2437 Old Brick Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: cutting boards are heavily scratched.

Starbucks Coffee Company, 4511 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sinks in restrooms do not have handwash signage posted; trash cans in restrooms do not have covers; green container of sandwiches incorrectly stored on walk-in cooler floor.

Regal Cinemas—Short Pump, 11650 West Broad Street – The following violation was reported during a follow-up inspection: mini freezer at concessions has a torn gasket.

Balkan Restaurant, 8905 Patterson Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: did not observe a certified food protection manager certificate during inspection; kitchen hand sink doesn’t have paper towels or hand soap; raw sausage and raw burgers incorrectly stored over and next to heavy cream and raw burgers and raw chicken incorrectly stored in between raw veal in lowboy unit on cook line; raw chicken incorrectly stored next to raw eggs and raw ground beef incorrectly stored over raw eggs in reach-in unit; temperatures of goulash, chicken soup and sataras made last night in the reach-in unit are elevated; temperature of cooked potatoes in lowboy on cook line is elevated; there are no date marks on crepes, goulash, sataras, and spinach and feta pastry in reach-in unit; menu doesn’t contain disclaimer and reminder for raw/undercooked items; improper thawing methods observed for fries and raw meat; white powders near dry storage area are unlabeled; container of flour, box of oil, boxes of beer and wine bottles incorrectly stored on the floor in kitchen and at bar; lowboy unit on cook line has torn gasket; cutting board across from reach-in unit is heavily scratched; observed buildup/grease/debris on hood filters, fryer baskets, sides of equipment, pipes behind equipment on cook line and under grill; racks in kitchen have debris.

Organic Krush, 3406 Pump Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have written procedures for cleaning up vomit/diarrhea; interior corners of ice machine have buildup; observed debris on utensils stored in lexan container; old date stickers are stuck on clean pans and containers; make table across from tilt skillet is not maintaining foods at the proper temperature (penne, pico and potatoes have elevated temperatures); juice walk-in cooler is not maintaining foods at the proper temperature; organic pesticide incorrectly stored in the prep area; single-service items on top shelf of expo are not stored inverted; two lights are out under the hood; cutting boards have deep scratches; observed debris on lower expo shelves; box fan in the kitchen is dirty; walk-in cooler fan grate is dusty; hood filters are greasy; light shield over blast chiller is missing.

Chopt Creative Salad Company, 11301 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed debris inside utensil bins; wash and rinse temperature gauges on the dishwasher appear to be broken.

El Rey International Supermarket, Inc., 6006 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have a certified food protection manager; observed dried food debris on peelers and inside microwave; temperature of soup cooling for two hours in a large container is elevated; temperatures of soup on stove and beef on hot line are too low; temperatures of sliced tomato, shredded lettuce and cheese in sandwich unit are elevated; there are burnt out lights in the dish area; observed gap in hood vents.

Roma’s Italian Restaurant, 325 East Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: front hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; three cans in dry storage are dented at the seam; observed layer of grime inside ice machine; three-compartment sink is not dispensing the correct amount of quaternary ammonium sanitizer; bottles of Italian vinaigrette are being sold at the counter but they do not list the manufacturer location, net weight or ingredients; calamari and containers of food incorrectly stored on floors of walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer, respectively; plastic containers are stacked wet; to-go containers on the line and in dry storage are not stored inverted.

Chicago’s Pizza with a Twist, 3641-F Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: did not observe a certified food protection manager certificate during inspection; hand sink in dish room doesn’t have hand soap or paper towels; hot water at hand sink in dish area doesn’t reach the required temperature; dish machine has 0 ppm chlorine sanitizer; observed pink and black mold on plastic panel of ice machine in back of kitchen; temperature of ham in prep top unit is elevated because it is stored above air curtain; observed multiple small flies in dish room; observed multiple dead roaches in traps on cook line and under sandwich units; reach-in freezer, reach-in unit in back of facility and walk-in cooler have torn gaskets; racks in dish area and in walk-in cooler are rusty; there is a gap in between hood filters above convection oven; one light bulb is burned out at hood above convection oven; cutting boards throughout the facility are heavily scratched and/or stained; observed debris on top of dish machine, on racks throughout facility and on hood filters above convection oven; cold water faucet in women’s restroom is leaking; observed stains on walls and debris on floors throughout facility, especially under equipment at cook line; one ceiling light is burned out in dish room.

Tropical Smoothie Café, 9972 Brook Road – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

Tazza Kitchen, 3332 Pump Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: small ice machine interior is dirty; juicer at the bar has dried residue and food bits stuck in the crevices; to-go containers in multiple areas are not being stored inverted; cutting boards at the make tables have deep scratches; walk-in cooler fan grates and shelving around the kitchen monitor are dirty; observed black buildup on tea urn’s nozzle connection; floor tiles at the back door are cracked; floors underneath market equipment are soiled; ceiling vent over dish area is dark and appears dusty.

O’Charley’s Restaurant, 9927 Mayland Drive – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: menu doesn’t contain disclaimer and reminder for raw/undercooked items (salmon and steak); pans on shelves above prep area are stacked wet; cutting boards throughout the kitchen are heavily scratched and stained; observed low grouting on floor throughout kitchen.

Ocean Crab Seafood Restaurant and Bar, 11740 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: an employee’s coffee mug was found on the cook line; marinara was not reheated to the proper temperature before being placed in the steam table; temperature of shrimp in the make table is elevated; milk, breadings and cream cheese are kept on time control but there is no written policy and times are not being tracked; mussels and chicken wings are not being properly cooled; boxes of oil incorrectly stored on the floor; unsealed wood is being used as shelves; one light is burned out under the hood system.

Sun Top’s China, 5660 Brook Road – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

Burgerworks, 10321 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperatures of cut lettuce, tomatoes, spring mix, raw eggs, raw vegan burger and raw ground beef in prep top unit and lowboy unit are elevated; temperature of blanched fries is elevated because they were left out at room temperature; improper cooling method observed for blanched fries in walk-in cooler; observed opening on bottom of exit door where dry storage is located; metal pans are stacked wet on clean rack in dish room; cutting boards on cook line are heavily scratched; one light is out at hood system on cook line; racks in dish room for chemical and clean dishware storage are rusty; reach-in freezer, walk-in cooler and lowboy unit on cook line have torn gaskets; observed gap greater than one inch in between hood filters on cook line; observed debris/buildup on hood filters, on sides and in between equipment, and under fryers on cook line; debris found in between gaskets on cook line, in bottom of reach-in freezer, and on racks throughout facility (except dish room); fan guards in walk-in cooler are dusty; low grout found on floors throughout facility; one ceiling tile is missing in dry storage area.
