Looking to mine ores, rocks, and metals? Check out this guide on how to make a pickaxe in Minecraft with stone, diamond, and other materials.
You cannot progress in Minecraft without a pickaxe as it helps in mining a wide range of valuable ores like iron and gold. Here’s a guide to making a pickaxe in Minecraft.
From veterans to newbies, everyone in Minecraft has to have a pickaxe. You can start out by making a wooden pickaxe and with time, you should be able to craft a rare diamond variant of the tool as well.
Pickaxes are primarily used for mining which is one of the most important mechanics of Minecraft. There are different types of pickaxes depending on their material, and each has its own significance. With access to metals, you can easily make items such as buckets, compasses, and beacons, among many others.
Here’s how to make a pickaxe in Minecraft.
You need two sticks and three blocks of either wooden planks, stone, diamond, iron ingot, or gold ingot to make a pickaxe in Minecraft. While the two sticks are common in every crafting recipe, the three blocks of material can vary according to your needs and availability of resources.
You need wooden planks to make sticks in Minecraft. In the Overworld, you’ll find a ton of trees, and breaking them drops wooden logs. Add these logs to any slot of the crafting grid and you’ll obtain wooden planks.
Now, add two wooden planks vertically to the middle blocks of the first and second rows of the crafting grid to get sticks:
Sticks are also used to make torches in Minecraft that eventually help you in making lanterns.
To get a pickaxe in Minecraft, place two sticks in the middle blocks of the second and third rows of a 3×3 crafting table. Now, fill the first row with three pieces of your desired raw material which could be wooden planks, cobblestone, iron ingots, gold ingots, and diamonds.
The crafting recipe has also been showcased in the image below:
The ingredients for every type of pickaxe in the sandbox game are:
Always place the two sticks vertically in the second column and the crafting material in the first row.
It is worth noting that you cannot craft a Netherite pickaxe in Minecraft. To make one, you first need to have a diamond pickaxe and Netherite Ingot. Then, use a smithing table to upgrade the diamond pickaxe into a Netherite pickaxe.

FIFA 23 will feature more leagues, teams, and stadiums than ever before, so we’ve broken down each new one right here.
FIFA 23 is gearing up to be the biggest year of EA’s football franchise to date, with more official licenses than ever before. Here’s every new league, team, and stadium we know about so far.
Following the news that EA and football’s main governing body are ending their relationship after nearly 30 years, FIFA 23 is set to be last the game to feature FIFA branding before the series is rebranded as EA Sports FC.
But before we move into the new era of EA Sports’ football games, FIFA 23 is looking to go out with a bang. This year is set to offer players the most official licenses ever from the real sport, including some of the world’s best players, across both Career Mode and Ultimate Team.
Here’s every new league, team, and stadium we know about in FIFA 23 so far.
FIFA 23 is set to bring plenty of new leagues into the mix, with women’s football taking center stage more than ever before.
Domestic leagues are set to be playable for the very first time. International sides were first introduced back in FIFA 16, but the representation of the women’s game hasn’t really kicked on in the games since.
Thankfully, it appears that EA is looking to rectify that in FIFA 23, as well as adding some other leagues from the men’s game. Known FIFA leaker Donk Trading has claimed that the Vanarama National League, the fifth division in England, will also feature.
Here’s every new league we know about so far. Leaked leagues are marked in bold:
It’s worth noting that while FIFA 23 is adding exciting new leagues, both the Japanese J-League and Mexican Liga BBVA MX will be leaving the roster this time around.
🚨 The English 5th Division in #FIFA23 • Clubs have been added 📚 • Not confirmed yet ❌ This happened last year and we never saw it in the final game. It’s clearly in the plans but for when we do not know.
EA have started to make formal announcements about new teams showing up in FIFA 23, and they have confirmed that Juventus will be making their return to the series.
Juventus’ exclusive deal with Konami to appear in eFootball has ended, meaning the Serie A side will be in FIFA 23 with the proper name, kits, and stadium.
On top of that, following the news that World Cup 2022 content is on the way, it’s safe to assume that all of the international teams that have qualified for the tournament will feature. This means a handful of African countries that were missing previously will be added.
Here are all of the new teams that are expected to be in FIFA 23 so far:
While having the official kits and badges is nice, it’s arguably the recreated stadiums that do the heaviest lifting in terms of making FIFA feel immersive. Whether it’s as your home ground in FUT or an away day in Career, stepping out onto an iconic pitch is hard to beat.
Every year, EA adds more and more famous venues for fans to play at, including the homes of any newly promoted teams in leagues that have full licensing – like the English Premier League.
FIFA 23 will also see some stadiums return following a few years away from the series after they were snatched away by eFootball in exclusive partnerships.
Thanks to a new and improved partnership with MLS, you can expect more American stadiums than ever in FIFA 23. So far, only LA FC’s Banc of California Stadium has been revealed, but more MLS stadiums should follow suit.
We’ll be updating this page regularly in the months leading up to FIFA 23’s launch, so be sure to check back in to see the latest new leagues, teams, and stadiums.

Apex Legends Season 14 is here, but which Legends are dominating Season 14 of Respawn’s battle royale so far?
Season 14 of Apex Legends has tons of characters to choose from to enjoy its several maps. But who has the top Season 14 pick rates in Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale shooter?
Apex Legends hit the ground running when it launched with eight different characters to choose from in its battle royale offering. The game suffered a notable lull when Call of Duty: Warzone launched, but with many popular streamers such as NICKMERCS and Dr Disrespect continuing to support the game, Apex has grown expeditiously.
There are now a whopping 22 different Legends to choose from, giving players a headache before each game. With Season 14 now here, the new Legend Vantage has already knocked some fan-favorite characters out of the running.
Let’s see how the current roster’s pick rates are looking to give us an idea of the most popular Legends in Apex Legends Season 14.
This is our complete list of every character pick in Apex Legends, and we’ve ranked them in order to let you know which are favored.
Here is every Apex Legends pick rate in Season 14 ranked, as of September 9, 2022, according to Apex Legends Status:
The brand-new Legend Vantage takes the number five spot in the Apex Legends Season 14. With a 7% pick rate, Vantage sits behind the top Legends such as Wraith and Pathfinder.
Vantage’s incredible popularity is probably due to her being new, but she’s not to be trifled with either. Her Sniper Rifle is an incredibly strong weapon, she’s able to wall run, and has a direct counter to Mirage.
How her pick rate will change throughout Season 14 remains to be seen, but she’s well-worth using on the overhauled Kings Canyon.
Again, with the influx of new Apex Legends players, Bloodhound is a great character to use for new players in Season 14.
Bloodhound nearly always stays in and around the 8-11% mark as the seasons go on, and they have dropped slightly to 8.3%. Don’t let that put you off though, as they are easily the top Recon class to use in Apex Legends thanks to their tracking tools and incredible skills, plus, their Beast of the Hunt Ultimate is priceless.
Pathfinder has consistently been one of Apex Legends’ top five picks at 8.8%, and counting, for quite some time now.
As a Recon class, Pathfinder simply excels in movements and traversing the game’s various maps. His Grappling Hook and Zipline Gun are simply invaluable assets that will help any team in a pinch – either because of the circle or a third-party situation. He consistently manages to stay in the top 5 as a result.
Another starting Legend, Wraith has been a consistent pick throughout Apex Legends’ lifetime, and she has taken the number two spot with a 9.7% pick rate in Season 14.
Wraith’s stand-out features are her ability to get out of trouble very quickly – teammates included. Her abilities allow her to sense danger, become temporarily invulnerable, and create portals to escape predicaments. It’s easy to see why Wraith continues to be an absolute fan favorite in Apex Legends Season 14.
With a 10.6% pick rate, the speed demon has taken the number one spot, continuing his reign as one of the most popular Legends in Season 14, fluctuating between the top two places.
Aside from his amusing quips, he is the perfect balance of offense and defense. Despite being regarded as an offensive Legend, Octane can greatly increase his sprint speed which is useful for both attack and running away.
But most Octane users thrive on his Launch Pad Ultimate which can send him, and friendly players, high up into the air.
That covers all the picks in Apex Legends Season 14. As always, buffs and nerfs will come and go throughout the season, altering the game’s meta, and subsequently, Legend pick rates.
We’ll be sure to keep this updated regularly so you can stay on top of the in picks and don’t forget to check out everything we know about Apex Legends Season 15, including the release date and Legend.
Here’s everything we know about Apex Legends Season 15 including the expected start date, new Legend, and map leaks.
Apex Legends Season 14 arrived on August 9, bringing new Legend Vantage and significant Kings Canyon map changes. Season 15 is next up, so here’s everything we know including the expected start date, leaked Legend, and more.
Apex Legends is now in its fourteenth season since its February 2019 release, bringing new weapons, maps, and of course, Legends, throughout the seasons. Season 14 has brought Vantage to the Apex Games, as well as increasing the level cap and changing Battle Pass challenges.
Season 15 arrives later in 2022, so here’s when Season 14 is scheduled to end and usher in the new season, as well as the leaked Legend and map that could arrive.
While Respawn Entertainment haven’t revealed a release date for Apex Legends Season 15, Season 14 is set to wrap up on November 8, 2022, so we expect the new season to begin around then.
According to renowned leaker Tom Henderson, Apex Legends Season 15 will actually begin on November 1, 2022, and will be titled “Eclipse.” Of course, these are just leaks and so should be taken with a pinch of salt.

When Respawn officially confirms the date we will update this section so stay tuned.
According to datamining from ‘SomeoneWhoLeaks,’ Catalyst is set to be Apex Legends Season 15’s Legend.
Catalyst’s leaked abilities have been known for a while now, where the Legend will be able to create cover and platforms with ferrofluid. SomeoneWhoLeaks said that the Season 14 update added “New lines of code for the next legend, Catalyst,” with the files including a “ferro_wall” ability.

Here are all of Catalyst’s leaked abilities:
Of course, this is just a leak for now so Catalyst might be scheduled for a later season or scrapped altogether.
An upcoming Apex Legends map called “Divided Moon” leaked back in March, and if Respawn Entertainment stay consistent with how often they add a new map, it could arrive in Season 15.
Respawn tends to add a new Apex Legends map every four seasons, with Season 3 bringing World’s Edge, Season 7 bringing Olympus, and Season 11 bringing Storm Point. This means that Season 15 could be the next season to bring a new map, but there’s far from any guarantee.
